Thanks so much for your wonderful in-store music. We saw three
in-store shows during our last visit to New Orleans in December
--- and it was some of the best music anywhere. You have a great
store with a great attitude. Hope you continue these shows forever
and we wish you best of luck, health, and business success in the
new year!!

The Louisiana Music Factory rocks! If you're thinking about ordering,
do it! They're fast, friendly, & very helpful (to say the least).
I really can't say enough. They came through for me with some autographed
CD's, from Dwayne Dopsie, and now they're my #1 music source. I've
ordered a couple of times, and shopped in store, and I've no hesitations
recommending them. And if you're ever in New Orleans, do yourself
a favor and drop by. Go to a Sunday Gospel Brunch @ The House of
Blue, then, when you're feelin' the spirit, stroll across the street
to The Music Factory and buy yourself some great new tunes. There
are multiple listening station, and if you see something you want
to try on (your ears) for size, the folks inside will gladly pop
it into a listening station stereo. Love it, love it, love it! Thanks
guys! I'll be back... laissez les bon temps rouler! All the best,

A local DJ played Louis Armstrong's recitation of "A Night Before
Christmas," and claimed that he had the only copy of it in Indiana.
Someone gave him a tape of it 15 years ago. I thought, "Bull cookies,"
and typed in "Louis Arstrong A Night Before Christmas" in Google and
it took me right to your site where, lo and behold, was a CD of Armstrong's
with the rare recording. I promptly ordered it. Woo-hoo!

Your store is what a music store should be, small, independent,
and deliberately aware of the thriving musical culture immediately
outside. In a time when most Americans can't find anything more interesting
to listen to than teenybopper re-fabbed overproduced and badly imitated
doo-wop, it was wonderful to stop into a store that did it right.
My visit to Louisiana Music Factory was one of the highlights of my
weekend in The Big Easy. Thank you, I shall stop by this site often,
credit card in hand.

Neat site! It's great to see that you all have newcomer Dave Badie's
"The Court Jazzster" in your lineup. I've listened to my copy over
and over. This guy and his crew have GOT to be going places with tunes
like this. It's obvious from reading other guestbook entries that
I'm not alone in my thinking. I've had the good fortune to observe
a practice session, and the sound is even more thrilling live! Someone
would do well to sign this group.

brother's CD will sell immediately after his performance. Memphis
just received a 24/7 jazz station 3 months called WJZN Smooth Jazz

I am trying to track down an cajun fiddle player from around the early 70's. Think he might of been called the Ragin Cajun or Crazy Cajun or some such thing. He was very thin and bounced a lot when he played. Seemed he was always playing on a boat when we would see him on TV in Wisconsin. I would love to get old music by him or if he is still performing I would kill for a tshirt or cap.
Any info you have would be greatly appreciated.
His first name MIGHT have been Don.

Hi..My name is Carl Becker and was one of the first..if not the first..person to Manage and Produce Tony Joe White as "Tony and the Mojos"
on J-Beck Records back in 1966 in Corpus Christi, Texas...Tony Joe was orginally from Louisiana and he has to be the man that put "Louisiana Swamp" Music on the Music Map...When we had him he was so orginal that we really didn't know if he was way behind or too far ahead...Later on, we found out he was way ahead of us...I will always remember those days in Corpus Christi, Texas.
