NOTES:
Sax Kari - Fumigate Funky Broadway chronicles the New Orleans-based work of the eclectic producer/arranger/writer/ musician /engineer who combined his appreciation for all genres of music together with a music business hustler's edge. The singles released on his many labels (Master Craft, Kari, Channel One, Local Masque) during a six-year period 1963-1968) in the Crescent City explored the blues (both urbane and gut-bucket), R&B, girl-group pop and torch music as well as revealing an original combinationof early funk and exotica (R&B meets Esquivel). Although Kari has lived in many cities over a sixty-year time-span. (New York City, Detroit, Houston, Mobile and currently in Florida) and created fine music wherever he went, his New Orleans productions are a wonderfully unique slice of life.
