| NOTES: Founded in 2001, the Helsinki-based Spirit Of New Orleans a.k.a. SONO has graced the Fiji Islands, Auckland and Waiheke in New Zealand, Ascona in Switzerland, and a multitude of clubs and festivals in Finaland with its music. SONO's members are seasoned professionals that have played with a host of well-known bands, both in Finland and abroad. On this disk, SONO is greaturing the great Eeppi Ursin, one of the rising vocalists of her native Finland and New Orleans' own Leroy Jones, internationally known and highly accomplished trumpeter and singer. The songs on the CD range from traditional New Orleans classics - to swing standards, not forgetting original compositions, and timeless Finnish classics.
