2015 collection. Ace’s excavation of the tape vaults of Huey Meaux continues with a collection by one of the most popular artists of New Orleans R&B. After he left Chess in 1964, Clarence “Frogman” Henry recorded for Meaux on and off for almost a decade, Baby Ain’t That Love collects up almost every master he cut during the period – plus four sides recorded in Memphis for Dial. The CD includes nine titles that have not been issued before. There’s plenty of good time New Orleans R&B, along with some solid soul, funk, a touch of country and even a bit of reggae to keep things varied and lively.
