The Midnight Brawlers formed shortly after hurricane Ida hit New Orleans August 2021. We are a 5 piece band of clarinet/voice, trombone, guitar, upright bass and drums. Our debut album takes the listener on a journey from Traditional jazz & swing to Brazil and originals in between. If you visit New Orleans you can find us performing at Bamboula’s every Sunday night.
Brawl’n’ is our debut album recorded in New Orleans at the Marigny Studios. Our original compositions are inspired from music of Brazil in styles like Samba and Forro. Some covers are in the old blues style inspired by vocalists such as Memphis Minnie and Bessie Smith.
